The Community Cricket Cup was a big success last season, with 25 teams entering to play the competition and Wollongong DCC taking home the silverware in a closely contested Finals Day against Wallsend DCC.
The knockout tournament will see teams whittled down until the Finals Day featuring the four remaining teams battling it out in the semi-finals and the Grand Final at Cricket Central on January 19, 2025.
All registered clubs in the Community Cricket Cup will be entered into a draw to win any of the following prizes:
- 12 tickets to the Sydney Test vs India in January 2025
- Signed Sydney Sixers BBL jersey
- Signed Sydney Thunder memorabilia bat
- ACA Player Appearance
- Training experience and behind-the-scenes tour at Cricket Central
Like last year, the Community Cricket Cup aims to bring together the senior cricket community in NSW and provide non-elite cricketing squads with the exciting prospect of being crowned champions among their peers, and also to fill a gap in the market and cater to recent trends seen around the state in seniors’ cricket. The Cup attempts to tie in the entire state’s community-based senior teams to a state-wide T20 competition.
The idea of the competition is derived from the format of England’s FA Cup, which is based on random draws among participating teams.

Round 1 commences: October 27, 2024.
