The visiting side won the toss and the made the most of the new ball, claiming six early Breakers wickets. Karishma Ramharack was the pick of the West Indies bowlers, finishing her three-over spell with figures of 3-12.
A crucial 49-run partnership between skipper Sammy-Jo Johnson and Hannah Darlington helped guide the Breakers to a defendable total of 9-105 from their allotted overs.
Maitlan Brown struck twice in her first over, before Hannah Darlington picked up a third West Indies wicket, holding the touring team to 3-8 at one stage.
Middle-order batter Shemaine Campbelle smacked a flurry of boundaries to put the visitors back on track before her innings came to an end at the gloves of Tahlia Wilson.
A spectacular diving outfield effort from Erin Burns would bring the Breakers back into the match, but a composed Aaliyah Alleyne and Zaida James would help the West Indies chase down their target with two overs to spare.
