Blues defeated by Bulls in Marsh Cup match-up

The NSW Blues have suffered a 1-wicket loss to Queensland in a thrilling Marsh One-Day Cup encounter at North Sydney Oval.

After losing the toss and being sent in to bat, NSW were held to what appeared to be a below-par total of 217 by the Queensland bowling attack. Captain Moises Henriques (82) and Daniel Hughes (59) the only two to really trouble the scorers for the Blues.

In-form Jack Edwards (4-38) and List-A debutant Jack Nisbet (3-59) claimed crucial wickets early on in the Queensland innings, positioning the NSW side for likely victory. However, a record-breaking final wicket partnership between Bulls tailenders Gurinder Sandhu and Kane Richardson guided the visitors to a 1-wicket win.
