The NSW Blues have suffered a 186-run defeat to South Australia in their Sheffield Shield encounter at Adelaide Oval.

Jack Nisbet claimed his first, First-Class scalp as the Blues dismissed South Australia for a first-innings total of 293.
Wicket-keeper Matthew Gilkes was the sole NSW player to pass the half-century mark in the Blues' first-innings, contributing 57 runs before being dismissed, leading to the teams total of 183 all out.
Nisbet went on to claim five South Australian wickets in the second innings, making him the 32nd player to achieve a five-wicket haul on first-class debut for NSW in the process.
Daniel Hughes’ determined second-innings effort with the bat came to an end on 58, with just two balls remaining on day three. Not long into day four NSW were dismissed, 186 runs in deficit.

The Blues will look to redress today’s defeat on Friday October 20, when they come up against South Australia in the Marsh One-Day Cup at Adelaide Oval. The match is scheduled to start at 10.30am (AEDT).
