NSW overcome WA in Marsh One-Day Cup

The NSW Blues have ended Western Australia’s unbeaten start to the new season, securing a 2-wicket win in their Marsh One-Day Cup clash at Cricket Central.

Will Salzmann stood out as the top-performing Blues bowler, claiming four vital wickets to limit Western Australia to a total of 216 runs. 

Blake Macdonald, on List-A debut, crafted a composed innings of 81, providing a solid platform for the Blues to track down the revised target of 222 runs from 43 overs, and in doing so secured the Player of the Match award.  

NSW have risen to second position on the limited-overs competition table following the win, holding a record of three wins and two losses.

Sydney Cricket Ground will be the venue next week, as NSW prepare to play Western Australia in the Sheffield Shield, commencing Monday, November 6.
