NSW Metro Topple QLD to Claim U16 Title!

NSW Metropolitan have taken out the title at the U16 Female National Championships in Ballarat, defeating Queensland in the final by seven wickets. 

Parramatta’s Shiloh Y Julien (74 & 2/27) and Neha Joshua (66* & 3/11) delivered dominant all-round performances in the final, both hitting half centuries and claiming five wickets between them before Julien was named Player of the Final.

NSW Metro won five out of their seven round matches of the competition, highlighted by a convincing 128-run win over Victoria Metro and a dominant eight run victory against the South Australia. NSW Country had an interrupted campaign with two of their matches abandoned due to rain, before finishing their championship run with a dominant seven wicket win over Western Australia. 

Shiloh Y Julien (Metro) finished as the second-highest run scorer, with Aanya Siingh (Metro) finishing in seventh. On the bowling front, Kaya Punter (Metro), Lane Jordan (Country), Cosette Thomas (Country) and Aditi Shidore (Metro) were among the top ten wicket takers. 

The NSW Metro victory comes just a month after NSW Metro claimed a third consecutive title at the U19 Female National Championships in Perth. 

With back-to-back fifties in round one & two, a 74 in the final and eight wickets across the competition, Metro’s Shiloh Julien was named Player of the Tournament.
