NSW selectors have named a 14-player squad to take on Victoria for the Hodge-Matthews Trophy in round eight of the Sheffield Shield at the SCG, starting on Tuesday (18/2).
The squad includes the 12-man group that played Queensland in Brisbane this past week, with the addition of Jackson Bird and Blake Nikitaras.
Bird, who at 38 years of age is currently sitting equal third on the competition's wicket takers list for the summer with 22, despite only having played four matches. The veteran seamer has 396 career Sheffield Shield wickets, fifth on the all-time list.
