SECOND GRADE
UTS North Sydney have claimed back-to-back titles in women’s second grade, defeating Parramatta by nine-wickets at Tunks Park.
Laveena Rampal starred with the ball in hand, claiming four wickets for just 10 runs in an impressive six over spell that stifled any momentum Parramatta attempted to build. Marlie Pathirana top-scored with 23, with Vani Bhadana (13) the only other to reach double figures as the side collapsed for just 69.
UTS brushed off the early loss of Emily Aitken with Bella Johnson and Emily Horstead going on to finish unbeaten on 38 and 22 as the Bears wrapping up the chase in the 24th over.

THIRD GRADE
Parramatta have recorded a 30-run win over St George-Sutherland to claim their maiden third grade title.
A cautious innings saw Parramatta post a modest total of 101 after being bowed out in the 38th over. Helen Williams delivered a remarkable performance for St George-Sutherland, claiming five wickets while conceding just 25 runs. Zali Lavender (20) anchored the batting order, with Isabella Pace contributing with a brisk 16.
Varshaa Elango dismissed both openers, as the Slayers found themselves at 2-13 in their pursuit of 101. Despite Willams’ valiant 26, the team struggled to build partnerships against a disciplined bowling attack. Elango finished with figures of 4-22, while Georgie Telfer picked up 3-20 off her six overs to see St George-Sutherland bowled out for 71.

BREWER SHIELD
The Southern Swans have held their nerve to lift the Brewer Shield, with a thrilling 10-run win over Manly Warringah at King George V Oval.
Despite early wickets, Swans skipper Nicola Hudson scored a well-crafted 59, including eight boundaries. Supporting her efforts were Georgia Lovegrove (35) and Ava Dragovic (22) who saw the side go on to post 166.
In reply, Manly Warringah gradually built momentum through Charlotte Allen’s knock of 43 off 54. Saoirse Ford supported well with a resilient 32 but Manly Warringah fell 10 runs short of the chase.
This is the Southern Swans first Brewer Shield title and the second year in a row that the Brewer Shield has been one by an expansion club following the win by Greater Hunter Coast last summer.
