Cricket Central confirmed as venue for Marsh One-Day Cup Final

New South Wales are set to host Western Australian in the 2023-24 Marsh One-Day Cup Final after the completion of the final round of regular season matches yesterday.

The Blues won the right to host the final at Cricket Central on Sunday, February 25 after finishing on top of the Marsh One-Day Cup table with a hard-fought victory over Victoria on Wednesday at North Sydney Oval.

A stunning century from opener Daniel Hughes (119 from 126) alongside captain Moises Henriques (73 not out) helped to lead the Blues to a seven-wicket victory over Victoria.

Despite a half-hour rain delay late in the day, the home side posted the required runs in 40.5 overs, with seven balls to spare in the revised innings.

Elsewhere, WA defeated Tasmania to seize second place ahead of Victoria in a dramatic final round giving them the chance to win a third straight title.

The two most dominant teams in the competition’s history, WA (16 titles) and NSW (12 titles) are now set to face off for the tenth time for the silverware.

A state-of-the-art facility, Cricket Central first opened its doors in August 2022 and houses indoor nets, outdoor turf lanes, meeting rooms, a gym, lecture theatre, library, café and medical facilities in addition to the ICC compliant oval.

The Marsh One-Day Cup Final will commence at 10.05am AEDT and will be broadcast live on Fox Sports and Kayo and the streamed live at cricket.com.au.
