NSW Men’s team selectors have announced a 12-player squad for the season’s final Marsh Sheffield Shield round, a clash with Queensland, starting on Monday (March 11) at Allan Border Field in Brisbane.
Blues squad for final Shield fixture
The Blues are coming off a pair of draws - against Victoria and South Australia - and remain in fourth place on the Shield ladder behind leaders Tasmania, Western Australia and Victoria, with Tasmania in the box seat to host the competition’s final.
NSW remain an outside chance of making the final, needing to defeat Queensland and gain bonus points, while a draw with few bonus points earned would be required between WA and Victoria.

Prodigious leg spinner Tanveer Sangha has been included for the first time this summer having last played Shield cricket in 2021/22. Sangha has eight first-class matches to his name.
Ryan Hadley and Smit Raval drop out of the squad, with Ben Dwarshuis added. Jackson Bird and Liam Hatcher will again miss the fixture with a hamstring complaint and general soreness respectively.
Play begins at 11am (Sydney time) and will be broadcast live on cricket.com.au and Kayo.
