Winning the toss and choosing to bowl first, Breakers stars Sammy-Jo Johnson (50) and Maitlan Brown (54*) lifted the Tigers to 241 all out from their 50 overs.

In reply, Rhiannon Dick, the leading run scorer in the competition this summer, struck 60 but saw her side fall far short in their chase, Johnson and Eva Ragg taking three wickets apiece.

Player of the Final Johnson secured the winning wicket of Jaclyn Vickery to finish with figures of 3-23.

The triumph marks the Tigers’ second First-Grade title in three years, whilst the Slayers’ wait for a maiden victory goes on.

In winning, Sydney also became the first club in Women’s McDonald’s NSW Premier Cricket history to complete the T20 & overall premiership double.
