Parramatta and Randwick Petersham set for Limited-Overs Final showdown

Parramatta District Cricket Club will host Randwick Petersham at Old Kings Oval this Sunday, February 23, for the first grade Limited-Overs Cup final.

Parramatta 

  • Parramatta are looking for their maiden Limited Overs Cup title. 
  • Despite one no-result due to rain, Parramatta remained undefeated across six matches in the regular rounds. They progressed through the quarter-final with a seven-wicket win over Sydney University and the semi-final with a one-wicket victory against St George.
  • Nick Bertus leads the side in Limited-Overs runs with 265, while Michael Sullivan is Parramatta’s leading wicket-taker with 17 wickets at an average of 11.12.
  • Parramatta claimed a 10-run win over Parramatta in their round one clash.  

 Randwick Petersham 

  • Randwick Petersham last won the Limited-Overs Cup competition in 2020/21 after previously winning it in 2011/12. 
  • Qualifying in third position, Randwick Petersham had one no-result to finish the regular rounds with a 4-1 record, before overcoming fourth and sixth seeded Gordon and Eastern Suburbs to advance to the decider.
  • Austin Waugh has scored the fourth-most runs in the competition this season, with 309 at an average of 44.14 - including a blistering 139 in the semi final. Anthony Sams sits in seventh place with 261 at an average of 37.29.
