The Duke of Edinburgh International Award is an internationally recognised program, focused at supporting young people develop leadership and life skills. The Duke of Ed Framework has been used by education providers and community organisations for over 60 years, to accredit the non-formal learning outcomes and achievements of young people. Cricket NSW x Duke4Sport Duke 4Sport is a partnership that connects young people aged 14 to 24 completing their Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award with sporting clubs and organisations. The partnership means Cricket NSW is now greater placed to assist cricket organisations in leveraging the 14,000 young people who participate in the Award, by providing resourcing, expertise and referring prospective volunteers to affiliate organisations. For Duke of Edinburgh participants, they still get to enjoy all the benefits of participating in the Award program, including: Community engagement opportunities; Developing leadership & interpersonal skills; and Practical skill development.
