Cricket NSW Distinguished Service Award As a sport, cricket is blessed to have quality people who give so much time and expertise to provide opportunities for people to play and love cricket. For many, the sport becomes ingrained as part of their lifestyle, a commitment spanning many years and across many aspects of the game, on field and off field. As such, Cricket NSW has launched the Distinguished Service Award, to recognise those who have given so much to cricket in their local community, over an extended period of time. For season 2024/25, up to 100 people will be recognised. The top nominees, selected by a committee comprised of individuals from the cricket community and Cricket NSW staff, will receive an exclusive invitation to the Chairman's Lounge on Day 4 of the Sydney Test, where they will be honoured during a special lunch event. Eligibility Nominee has been involved in cricket in the NSW community for 25 years or more Nominee resides in NSW Roles eligible for consideration – committee member, coach, Cricket Blast coordinator, team manager, scorer, umpire, groundskeeper, player. Restricted to one (1) person nominated per cricket organisation affiliated to NSW Cricket Association (i.e. Cricket NSW) Clarifying note: being a member organisation of an affiliate qualifies as being an affiliate of the NSW Cricket Association. Assessment Nominees will be assessed on their contributions to the cricket community, roles they have held throughout their career and their overall involvement in the sport.
