The Grassroots Cricket Fund (GCF) was established in 2019 by Australia’s professional cricketers to strengthen grassroots cricket for generations to come. The GCF ensures the cricket clubs and indoor centres throughout Australia gets the investment it needs to support those who help drive grassroots cricket and bring communities together. The GCF is a partnership of the Australian Cricketers’ Association and Cricket Australia, working to together to help drive this vital program and grow grassroots cricket. We are excited to introduce the Community Grants Program for the 2024/25 season, which aims to empower clubs and centres like yours to excel in promoting cricket within your local communities. GCF Grants Program The GCF Grant Program’s focus is on enabling sustainable impact and fostering participation growth in the junior space. Consequently, grants will now be targeted towards implementing programs that maximize this impact. From Monday, 26 August (12PM AEST), the 2024/25 GCF funding program will open for six weeks to support clubs and indoor cricket centres to prepare for the upcoming season and to help make them even better places to play the game. The round closes on Sunday, 22 September (11:59PM AEST). Guidelines Eligibility Clubs and centres must fall under the affiliation umbrella of a State or Territory Association. Club and Centres must be located in Australia; Clubs must be properly constituted and registered as an Incorporated Association under their relevant State/Territory legislation; Centres must have a current public liability insurance policy in place that satisfies any requirements of any applicable governing body; Clubs and centres must have satisfactorily met reporting requirements on any Grants previously received from the Grassroots Cricket Fund; Have adopted and endorsed the latest Australian Cricket Framework for Safeguarding Children & Young People and provided updated Child Safety Officer details to their State or Territories. How to Adopt & Endorse Australian Cricket Framework for Safeguarding Children & Young People Complete the NSW Fair Play Declaration, dated 1 May 2024 or later, and return to your local Cricket Manager. Advised your local Cricket Manager of who your Child Safety Officer is for 2024/25. Upload a complete and signed version of the Fair Play Declaration to your website/ social media page and complete at least one of the following: Promote on your website/social media page the CNSW Safeguarding Children page https://www.cricketnsw.com.au/safeguarding-children; or Upload a copy of the CNSW Safeguarding Children & Young People Policy to your website/ social media page; or Upload the Australian Cricket’s Policy for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Australian Cricket’s ‘Looking After Our Kids’ Code of Behaviour for Affiliated Associations, Clubs and Indoor Centres to your website/ social media page.
